The weird thing is that the whole “magical flare-up” + “wandered off at random” thing screams “fairy” but there is a wooden stake there. Now, there is no reason that a fairy couldn’t use a wooden stake, but… I just can’t see it…
I guess the real question is: Do you get a vampire assassin after you for killing a vampire if it was the original you that did it and you’re technically the fake? And then there is the old: Are you responsible for the actions of a dubiously-sane vampire-slayer that you set loose on the world?
At this point I am pretty confident that biological Ian has been seeing at least parts of what adopted Ian has been doing. If the connection did that much then it is likely that it was also sending Ianness to adopted Ian. If adopted Ian starts to lose that Ianness then they might end up having to choose between putting a vaguely innocent victim back in the pod and pretend nothing happened, or losing the established Ian and getting a physical superman with the mind of a child, the body chemistry of an adult, and a lifetime of unresolved irritation that the don’t know how to deal with in ways that don’t involve mass murder…
Fun times… fun times… Well, time for more of these vampires to die off because their boss was offensive! Humanian really doesn’t know how to take a bunch of monsters trying to do horrible things to what felt like himself and the closest thing to a friend that he thinks he has. Become one with the chill Ian. Become one with the chill…
WTF? Okay, uh… that is bad.
hallucination ?
Or strange cult/fairy summoned Ian before slaughtering the house to get him to watch ?
or something else altogether

Wasn’t there supposed to be some sort of anime fan here to protect them?
